to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of independence and to convey the potential and national image of Digital Bangladesh to the world on the golden jubilee of independence at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Digital Bangladesh has been a model of development around the world but the journey behind this achievement was not so easy. The vision of Digital Bangladesh has been decided by Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in 2008. Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the ICT advisor of the Honorable Prime Minister, is the architect of Digital Bangladesh.
With the planning and instruction of Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the vision has been accomplished during the last 13 years. ICT State Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak is the catalyst of Digital Bangladesh, who has been led and accomplished the vision of Digital Bangladesh. ICT Division is organizing the Golden Jubilee Bangladesh Concert at Madison Square Garden in New York to convey the journey and progress of Digital Bangladesh and to commemorate the memory of 1971 liberation war. World-famous Rock-band ‘Scorpions’ and Bangladesh’s Global-band ‘Chirkutt’ will perform in this historic concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday, May 6. Bangladesh and UNDP will jointly announce the 'Bangabandhu-UNDP Global Cyber Security Award' for the youths at the concert, who have been contributing to cyber security. Proceeds from the Golden Jubilee Bangladesh Concert will be spent on cyber security in relatively weak countries through UNDP.

Chirkutt is internationally recognized as the Global Bangladeshi Band. Beside USA, Chirkutt have also performed and proudly represented Bangladesh in Norway, England, Australia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and India during several prestigious Music Festivals and occasions. Bangladesh has made world class IT infrastructure and cyber security system across the country. To face the challenges of the future cyber world, Bangladesh is also making the youth aware of the threat of cyber-crime and inspiring them to assure cyber security.
Cyberteens Foundation, founded by Bangladeshi social entrepreneur Sadat Rahman; is working to prevent Cyberbullying and raise Cyber Awareness among teenagers. He won the International Children's Peace Prize in 2020 for making an anti-cyberbullying mobile app named Cyber Teens.
